This is my online Portfolio, and I am a budding Television Producer, or a film Director in the longer term. See below for reasons why I believe myself to be suitable for these roles, and I am aware I am unlikely to get either job as soon as I graduate, but I am always working hard to improve my skills, to make it that much more likely, I get hired in the industry.

Television: Directing, Editing, Producing.
I like all aspects listed of the Television area for different challenges and reasons. The areas I like to cover if possible during Television are mainly in the pre production process, and I like to Direct, or produce. The reasons for this, is directing because I like to have control over the finished project, and I also feel a sense of awesome when producing, providing things to the director, and organising actors and crew on locations. Examples of this were in my first term at BCU, in the Documentary and Television Features assignments. I was able to gather actors, and organise filming scedules, and take care of the Cast and Crew, while the Director was organising the next shot on location. I am aware that this is a small sample of the producing role I would want to undertake in employment, but the more I learn, the easier it will become in the long run.
Editing.
I am always learning new techniques and looking to incorporate them into future productions, and to write stories/scripts around a clever edit here, or there. Since I have started university, my editing techniques have improved and continue to do so and my competance is always improving too. The experience I enjoyed the most within University, was upon a group task to record a live music gig, for Music Video and Promo, I edited together one of the songs as a way to get used to the editing software, and I have also done lots of little things to acclimatise myself to the software, and will take on more editing tasks in my final year of study at BCU. When I first started I wasn;t confident I could use Avid, but I was determined to learn, and am a fast learner, so the more I used it, the more I got used to how the programme works, and the differences it has from Final Cut Pro.
Radio.
Radio has always been an interest to me, and upon commencing my studies at BCU, it was easy to get involved with Scratch Radio. Eventually I would like to have my own show, but until then I am still learning how the radio station works, how to broadcast, and use the Myriad system, and all the ins and outs. It is important for me to gain as much experience using the programme as needed in a learning environment, so I can transistion quickly, and smoothly in full time work.
Writing.
I like to write, to express how much I have been enjoying my latest experiences (See my first page). This is relevant to my specialism of Television student as it allows me to produce the type of show you would expect to see on TV, and be involved with different roles . This would show me to be versatile and I'm willing to try anything in order for the chance to complete a production, and often taking on multiple roles in a capacity as a student. While I don't have much experience in writing a script for a Drama, or a film, I have attempted to get a ten minute Drama, and Short Film ready for production stages. I am currently writing a script for a short film, which could be adapted into a feature length, about a guy who needs to take revenge on a town, after a lifetime of underachievement and blaming everybody else for his own mistakes, and it will be shot out of sequence, as multiple scenes will take place in one location, but aren't together in the script, to save on costs, shooting time and actors availabilities. This is just one direction I could film it, and in a Pre Production meeting, I will arrange contingency days incase things go wrong.
